Control Your Android Phone Wirelessly with AirDroid

Android Apps Series

For the longest time, my go to app for doing file transfers to and from my phone was with an app called SwiFTP (no longer in the Play Store). I then tried out an app called Browsix that let you control the phone in your browser, but it wasn’t my favorite.

There’s a new kid on the block these days, though. AirDroid has become one of the most popular apps for managing your phone right within your computer’s browser. Its file management is extensive, but it shines with everything else it can do. Watch the video for a full demo.

Pros:

  • Easy setup, just scan a qr code and it connects.
  • Complete wireless management – file manager, contacts, texting, and more.
  • Well designed app and browser layout.

Cons:

  • None so far! (The app has a full 5 stars on the Play Store)
