Why use your USB cable when you don’t have to? I recently reviewed a great app called AirDroid. Though it has a lot of great functionality (which I go over in my AirDroid review), one of its key functionalities is managing and transferring files. It’s the easiest way to quickly and conveniently transfer a file, such as a ROM, to your device. Check out the video for the walkthrough.

Another fantastic way of doing this if your device is rooted, a free app called Samba Fileshare. It makes your Android device a Samba fileserver that’s available anywhere on your local network. I use it all the time, and instead of fumbling around with an app like Airdroid every time you want to access your files (not that Airdroid is a bad app or anything)… it simply runs in the background of your Android device. I would highly recommend checking it out.
