The Droid Demos keeps a strong focus on the Android community, run by the very people that browse the forums and keep the platform alive. We are dedicated to bringing you informative and unique articles and news reports, honest opinions and reviews of devices, apps, ROM’s and more, informative guides and tutorials, lessons, and tips and tricks to help you get to know more about your Android device.

To provide the best for the community, we need to continually add to our great team to provide the best content. The Droid Demos is growing quickly and would love your participation. Think you can help take us to the next stage? Whether you want to cover news, reviews, tutorials, design, or development, we have a spot for you!

All we ask is that you have:

• Time – As long as you can post consistently, we will work with your availability. The more, the better!

Benefits

We know you’d contribute for nothing, but we thought a few benefits my spur your interest even more!

• Starter Pack – All contributors that join our team will receive access to our starter pack for information about using our services and contributing to the site. We don’t want to leave you with no idea of what to do and this should help you get you on your way to adding some great content!
  • Links – You probably have your favorite sources for Android information, but we’re going to add to that anyways. You’ll get information on some of the best sources for fresh Android events and news.
  • The Droid Demos Google Apps – After joining our team, you’ll get your own @TheDroidDemos.com email with access to the Google Apps Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Wave, etc.) which you can sync to your Android phone.
• Publicity – Contributing to The Droid Demos will put your ideas and content in the spotlight. Not only will it appear on our site, but everything is added to social networking and bookmarking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Digg, and StumbleUpon.
• Profile on Posts – Under each of your posts will be your own profile box with information about yourself. Tell the world about your love for Android!

Positions

We have a few different areas of contribution that are outlined. We would love you to be consistent in one area, but upon joining the team, if you’re able to handle more, you are more than welcome to contribute in more ways than one!

• Articles/News
  • Summary – Help keep the community up to date with Android and provide a unique perspective to current events in the Android world. The closer you can get to the source, the better. Follow app developers and phone manufacturers directly? Have a key connection? This is the perfect position for you!
  • Requirements – No abnormal requirements except that you have a desire to write unique articles or consistently post Android news.
• Video Guides/Reviews
  • Summary – We pride ourselves on providing videos for all of our reviews and tutorials. In order to provide the community with the best and most we can, we need as many contributors as possible and from all the various devices. You will be able to do app reviews, Android tips and tricks, general tutorials, and phone specific how-to’s, among others!
  • Requirements – We seek to provide the highest quality videos for the community. We ask that you have a clear and confident speaking voice, an HD camera, and basic video editing skills.
• Written Guides/Reviews
  • Summary – Although we prefer to have everything contributed as a video, sometimes getting that much content is difficult. For that reason, we would love the contribution of written tutorials.
  • Requirements – Those contributing written guides should have great grammar and be able to write thorough and easy to understand guides.
• Forum Moderator
  • Summary – Help control The Droid Demos Forums! Post interesting topics and help clean up unnecessary or spammy posts. Become a leader in the community!
  • Requirements – We would like our forum moderators to have a professional and friendly demeanor, good grammar, and simply the time to moderate effectively.
• Design
  • Summary – If you’ve got a knack for whipping up some great graphics or designs (websites or apps) with Photoshop or other tools, we’d love to have you on the team. Whether it be images for articles or work on the site itself, we’ve got a spot for you.
  • Requirements – You should have the talent and tools necessary to complete the tasks that you are interested in contributing.
• Development
  • Summary – Interested in working on the back end to help further The Droid Demos and the Android community? We are interested in adding website developers, app developers, and Android (ROM, Kernel, etc.) developers on to our team! Think you’ve got what it takes.
  • Requirements – You should have the necessary talent and tools necessary to complete the tasks that you are interested in contributing.

After applying and going through our selection process, you will go through a two week starter period in which you will have restricted access. This is to screen our candidates and make sure that you are able to perform in a consistent and professional manner. If you have any questions about joining our team, feel free to contact us!
